We could not have been near Bellingrath Gardens at a better time. Right now, azaleas are beautiful! The peak of azalea blooms started Saturday and we were there Sunday.
The flowers just kept going and going... not to mention all the pretty fountains and the Bellingrath home (he was one of the first bottlers for Coca-Cola).
Which was right on the Fowl River. Such pretty views. The cool thing was all the different sections with different ecological systems. Rose garden, Asian garden, Fowl River front, bayou/march area...
We even saw a snake in the bayou. Eeeps!
I have to say, it was the perfect way to end the trip.
I love seeing all these pictures, it was such a fun trip. I can't wait for the next one!
