If there's one thing my office knows how to do, it's how to throw a party! Most of us our event planners, so it's only natural, right?

Today we had an office party because there are five people (20 percent!!) having birthdays this week. I planned my lunch accordingly and enjoyed some tasty cake!

Love my office. Only here could I sit around a table and listen to a Fart App on my co-workers phones in a contest... Just sayin'.

Oh when the Saints...

Greetings again! Just got back from the crowd at the Jackson Convention Complex at the New Orleans Saints Championship Tour. The Saints are making stops in locations close to NOLA with lots of fans, in appreciation of supporting them going to (and winning) the Super Bowl. Jackson is also special because post-Katrina the Saints held their summer football training here at Millsaps until this past year.

Getting ready to go in...

Lombardi Trophy had its own guard!

My coworker Jamye with the Saintsations. He was loving it!!

All of the gear Drew Brees wore during the Super Bowl.

Hope you are having a good day!

Back from the beach! I know what you are thinking, I am the worst blogger ever these days. It's bad. I just upgraded to the iPhone 4 and I hope to be a lot more on top of it, even if it means using my phone.

While we were there, we did see people cleaning the beach. When we first arrived, there was even a group of people camped outside of our house.

While there, I think we saw just about every kind of mode of transportation checking on the oil spill. We even saw the blimp!

The beach was nothing like what I imagined it to be like. While there was oil, it was not slick oil. Mostly, there we tarballs, which ranged from the size of my thumbnail to a little smaller than my palm (only saw one that was that big).

We still had our wonderful food fare, like dumpings, lettuce wraps, and pad thai. So good!!

We also has some really great shrimp and grits....

Phewwwww. Right now I am on to my next dog sitting gig and this is probably the first night in a while where I have really been able to relax! It's been crazy lately, especially starting my job and getting back to Jackson, so it's good to be able to watch TV and surf the internet for a few hours.

Since my last post, I attended an amazing performance as part of the International Ballet Competition.

I took our intern (who is an international student from Trinidad) to the performance. She was so amazed by everything because she had A) Never been in a formal music/performance hall before (she said the stage and red velvet curtain looked like a magic show) and B) she had never seen a ballet performance before. It was so amazing to see her reaction to everything because I am so used to these types of performances, especially being involved with theatre in high school, as well as my sister being a ballet dancer for years.

I wish I could show you photos of Philadanco (Philadelphia Dance Company, the ballet company performance we attended), but they were very strict about no photos and no cell phones!

We also had a great Father's Day lunch on Sunday. Every (veggie) dish was local (trying to get as close to farm to table as possible) with Mississippi veggies from either Fresh Way or Belhaven Market. It was really fun to see everything.

Tomatoes, eggplant casserole, squash, green been bundles, corn, peas, corn bread, chicken.

Happy 200th post!

Things are still going really well at work and I can't believe it is almost the weekend again! Things are going by fast. I don't have much to report right now, but I'll leave you with my latest, wonderful find on Etsy.

Photo courtesy of Etsy and Midwest Finds

This great Etsy store, Midwest Finds, smelts their pint size Ball mason jars that are scratched, imperfect and makes them into spoon rests! As a Ball jar fanatic, I have fallen in LOVE with these!

Hope I can catch up soon!

Hey guys! Long time, no see, eh? Between starting my job, dogsitting, and fun stuff here and there, no blog time!

(view of the Standard Life building from my parking garage)

I'm loving my job! Everyday is fun and different. People are great and I'm so lucky to have found the job (or did the job find me?).

The job is even more fun if you throw in cupcakes! Our office is obsessed with this place. We even had someone go on their lunch break and bring back some!

Wedding cake flavor! So good!
More later!
